Well, c'est moi, Caroline Pradal from England! Although, I have now lived in France for 7+ years. Originally a professional dancer, I spent over 10 years performing in shows all around the world, finally settling in Paris and gaining the infamous title of 'Parisian Showgirl'. More recently, my family and I have relocated to the south and now live on the beautiful Côte d'Azur with our Franglais toddler, Julia.
During the last decade I have learned a lot about looking after my body and keeping it in the best possible shape.
I am now well into my second career as a level 4 Personal Trainer. I qualified at Train Fitness, London, with the YMCA awards and have turned my attention to my other passion in life; health & fitness, or, more precisely, other people's health and fitness.
Why Personal training?
By nature, I am an avid people watcher. I just love to imagine people's totally unique worlds that I know nothing about. Yet, on a daily basis, I was seeing so many beautiful people who were lacking the knowledge and motivation to truly become their 'best selves'. I am a kind and encouraging person and so I believed that by becoming a personal trainer I could be the voice in people's ears that would help them to reach their potential and obtain the goals they weren't quite reaching alone. I'm passionate about other people's journeys and with my guidance and enthusiasm I can be the support that you need to be the best you can be in your own life.
I became a personal trainer to put myself in the position where I can inspire and educate people into living healthier and therefore, longer and happier lives. Plus, a bonus for me, I get to meet new people, often also expats, and share in their journeys.
I love nothing more than to see people pushing themselves and striving to achieve more than they thought possible. At the end of a workout all the cursing and sweating is replace by the beautiful glow of a flushed, happy face and the self-respect and pride of knowing you gave your all. That for me is such a wonderful moment I get to share with my clients. They may hate me a little bit during their session but they soon love me again after!
I am looking to 'raise you up' not only in levels of fitness but also in terms of confidence, self-love and mental health to name but a few world renowned benefits of regular exercise and understanding one's own body.
Qualifying and training in England I have brought my skills overseas to France, first to Saint Tropez before moving back to Paris where I now work with clients in the city of love six days a week! I think I can shyly say I'm bilingual, and enjoy working with people of all nationalities, all over the city!
Why I love Outdoor Training!
For me, the best place to be when exercising is outdoors.
Whilst the gym can be great during the really cold winter months, they often breed bacteria and spread colds with everyone sweating and breathing each other's air. Despite being able to now watch the telly while your pound the treadmill, I believe the most natural and endorphin boosting workouts take place in the great outdoors where you can really concentrate on all you want to achieve. I love to breathe the fresh air on a beautiful crisp morning as I work out with clients. The diverse city sights and natural equipment make for a varied, creative workout that can distract even the most 'exercisephobic' of personalities! There is just so much that is already in place and can be utilised around the city to create a really thorough workout, why would you pay to workout inside?!
All you have to do is pull on your trainers, grab a water bottle and step outside! If you work hard you won't be cold for more than five minutes which is yet another great incentive to get moving! I also have a range of equipment that adds even more dynamics should we need to progress or change course over our time together.
However, if training outside is really not your bag or makes you feel self-conscious, I am also more than happy to train clients in the comfort of their own apartments. If there's room to lay down and spread your arms then there's room to workout!
